Living in Pissouri
What are the benefits of living in Pissouri?
Pissouri is the third largest village in the Limassol district, and is one of our favourites. This beautiful village that we are proud to call home is very special, evident in the history of visitors returning over and over again, many of whom buying and settling here and choosing Pissouri as their forever place. Pissouri is picturesque, it is seriously charming, it is welcoming and friendly, with a humble modesty and, despite its popularity with the ex-pats, Pissouri has retained an admirable amount of tradition, culture and history (it’s not rare to see a donkey or a goat here!)
Pissouri is split into two residential areas, the village (around 152m above sea level) and the bay, with a distance of about 3km splitting the two. Views of the Mediterranean Sea give Pissouri a stunning backdrop, one that changes interestingly with the weather, and can never be taken for granted – it is a pleasure to wake up to every day.
The atmosphere in Pissouri is laid back, peaceful and friendly. There is a well-established expat community that you can have as much or as little involvement with as you choose, and locals are friendly and welcoming too. Pissouri is very social and touristy in the summer, then quiet & quaint in the winter, and the contrast is welcome at both ends of the season, offering residents a varied lifestyle throughout the year.
Great for families and for retirement, Pissouri is a safe place to live, away from the hustle and bustle of cities, offering a simple lifestyle to home owners, that can be enjoyed at a lovely, gentle pace.
Great location
Pissouri is situated halfway between Paphos & Limassol (around 30km to each) and there is an easily accessible motorway junction that makes travelling or commuting to either city hassle-free. Pissouri offers its residents a village lifestyle, with easy city access and a gorgeous beach at your fingertips!
